Fragrance is the most intimate accessory you will ever wear. It sits on your skin, moves when you move and lingers after you have left the room. Choosing one should feel less like shopping and more like recognising yourself.
Start with how you want to feel
Before you think about notes, think about mood. Do you want to feel calm and collected, confident and magnetic, or bright and energised? Calm personalities often gravitate to musks and sandalwood; the bold tend towards oud, saffron and amber; the energetic love citrus and fresh herbs.
Learn the four families
- Floral — rose, jasmine, tuberose. Romantic, expressive, warm-hearted.
- Woody — sandalwood, cedar, vetiver. Grounded, thoughtful, quietly assured.
- Amber & Oud — resins, spices, agarwood. Bold, sensual, unforgettable.
- Fresh & Citrus — bergamot, sea salt, mint. Optimistic, active, open.
Test on skin, not paper
A blotter tells you about the top notes. Your skin tells you the whole story. Apply to the inner wrist, wait twenty minutes and smell again — the heart notes are where a fragrance truly reveals itself.
Consider perfume and attar
Many of our fragrances come in two forms. The perfume is airy and diffusive — perfect if you love a scent trail. The attar is a concentrated, alcohol-free oil that sits close to the skin and lasts remarkably long. Some people wear the attar by day and the perfume by night.
Let the quiz do the heavy lifting
Our Fragrance Score asks eight quick questions about your mood, lifestyle and preferences, then matches you with the scents in our collection that fit you best — with a percentage score for each.
